This big and beautiful beach draws massive crowds in the summertime, but its expanse can more than handle the numbers. An added feature, besides the sun and surf, is the tallest tower in Sardinia, built by Filippo II of Spain to protect the coast. The tower still stands guard, now as a lighthouse.
